About

Silverpoint is a native Mac design canvas with an AI designer built in. It is free while it is in beta.

Who makes it

Silverpoint is made by Kristopher Baker, a product engineer with deep iOS roots who lives in Fujisawa, near Tokyo. Before Silverpoint came years of consumer apps at Wolt (DoorDash), SmartNews and Bodybuilding.com. It is a one-person project, built with the help of AI agents and checked by Sparra, a build harness made for that. More at krisbaker.com.

What the app sends

  • To the model you choose. When you send a message, your request and the parts of the document the agent needs go to the model you picked in setup: your Claude Code or Codex (which talk to their own services), the provider of your API key, or nothing at all with Apple's on-device model or a local server.
  • To silverpoint.app. Once a day the app asks this site whether there is a newer build. Settings ▸ General ▸ Updates turns that off.
  • To the image provider you set up in Settings ▸ General ▸ Images, only when you or the agent generate an image.
  • To Figma, only when you import a Figma file by its link.
  • To analytics.krisbaker.com, only if you turn it on. Anonymous usage data is off by default: the first-run sheet asks once, and Settings ▸ General ▸ Privacy has the switch and the full list of what's sent (that the app opened, setup steps, which kind of agent you chose, whether agent turns worked, export kinds, updates). Never your designs, names, prompts, paths or keys. Each event carries a random ID you can reset.

Silverpoint has no account. API keys stay in your Mac's Keychain, and your documents stay on your disk.

This site counts page views and download clicks with a self-hosted Umami (analytics.krisbaker.com): no cookies, nothing that follows you to other sites, and nothing at all when your browser asks not to be tracked. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which keeps its own server logs.
